So my sister works for a subsidiary of a large academic publishing firm and last night she said to me “name 10 literature books that were published this year and I’ll get you them for Christmas from the samples pile”

I was just asked to explain English Christmas by the new chap who works here who is from Pakistan, because he wants his children to respect all religions and enjoy different traditions
A) that’s the nicest thing ever and I adore him for it
B) I LOVE talking about Christmas and am now feeling super festive!

Buying beautiful paper christmas garlands for the office and volunteering for it to be my job to spend the morning putting them together.
Basically I have the best job sometimes.
